Turning Interest into Action
Here at Ark Of Safety, we see the value in everyone. We want to be a catalyst for positive change for the Trans and Lgbtq+ community , we’ve been driven by the same ideas we initially founded our Non-Profit Organization upon: support, empowerment and progress.
Our mission To foster an environment of safety and nurturance, this program offersemergency shelter and other necessities such as food storage, bathrooms, showers, laundry facilities, and more. In addition to shelter, the Ark of Safety low-level case management, Rapid rehousing , Life skills program, Nightly Emergency Drop in and peer support from a harm reduction approach.
In a society where common temporary housing options are exclusionary, the Ark of Safety facility is inclusive, trauma-informed, and gender-affirming of all LGBTQ+ identities. Ultimately, the Ark of Safety is designed to reduce the number of people on the streets, improve wellness outcomes, and support housing justice for marginalized communities.
Dealing with the challenges of today requires problem-solvers who bring different perspectives and are willing to take risks. Ark Of Safety emerged out of a pursuit to inspire and support the community, and a desire for actions to speak louder than words.
